Welcome to the Elite Committee Wiki 👋
Welcome! This wiki is the shared knowledge base for the Elite Strata Committee.
Committee members change, buildings evolve, and over time an enormous amount of knowledge can end up buried in emails, meeting minutes or simply living in someone’s head. The purpose of this wiki is to make things a little easier.
It is intended for both current and future committee members and provides a central place to understand how things work, where to find information and how we generally operate as a committee.

The wiki will gradually document things such as:

How we try to work
There doesn’t need to be a complicated rule for everything.
As a committee, we aim to follow a few simple principles:
Be transparent.
Committee members should have access to the information they need to participate properly in decisions.
Make decisions collectively.
Individual members can raise issues and contribute ideas, but committee directions should reflect properly agreed committee decisions.
Document important things.
If a process, decision or piece of knowledge will be useful again, we should try to record it rather than rely on someone remembering it.
Keep communication open.
People should know who is involved in a conversation, what has been decided and what still needs to be decided.
Focus on the issue, not the person.
Disagreement is normal. Good governance means concentrating on the process and the best outcome for Elite rather than personalities.
Don’t keep reinventing the wheel.
If we’ve figured out how something works, let’s document it so the next person doesn’t have to figure it out again.
Elite and the BMC
Elite is part of the wider ESP complex, together with Prime and Sublime.
Some matters belong entirely to Elite, while shared infrastructure, services and facilities are managed through the Building Management Committee (BMC).
Knowing the difference is important. This wiki aims to make it easier to understand who is responsible for what, how Elite is represented at the BMC and how information should flow back to the Elite Committee.
This is a living resource
This wiki isn’t intended to be a rigid rulebook or a replacement for legislation, the strata management statement, meeting resolutions or professional advice.
It’s a practical record of how we do things and what we’ve learned along the way.
If you discover something that’s missing, outdated or unclear, please update it or suggest an improvement.
The goal is simple:
No committee member should need to know who to ask in order to know how something works.
The better we document our processes and decisions today, the easier it will be for the people looking after Elite tomorrow.
